Director General of BPSR, Dr Joe Abah, during the launch in Abuja, said the agency was the first institution in Nigeria to have an electronic platform for receiving freedom of information requests.
“We are proud to be the first government agency in Nigeria to have an electronic platform (www.bpsr.gov.ng) for receiving Freedom of Information requests,” he said.

“The website will allow members of the public to submit real time online FOI requests and receive feedback,” Abah stated.

While ?handing over the redesigned website to R2K Coordinator, Ene Nwankpa, said “nothing negative occurs when a public institution opens up its operations to public access and scrutiny.

“This ingenuity should be followed by all public institutions in Nigeria.”

  1. The website is mobile responsive that’s a very good one. The overall visual design of this website can be a whole lot better. Kind of wondering why the navigation is going off track. The additional navigation on the left is unnecessary – only confuses the user.
